Now that summer has arrived, all I want to do on weekends is lay in the grass and soak up the sunshine. On my last visit to the doctor’s, I learned that I have a vitamin D deficiency, and obviously, hellwinter2014 didn’t help with that. Now that it’s nice out, it’s time to get some sun and quit looking so pale and vampire-like.
John and I wanted to go to Boca Grande, but they don’t open until 1pm on Sundays. As much as we wanted burritos, we were hungry and couldn’t wait an extra hour. Off to Dorrian’s Red Hand on the other side of the street. Hello sunny outdoor seating!
Even though Dorrian’s is just a short walk from our apartment, we’ve only been here once. The liter beers are a good deal. Starting our Sunday with some Blue Moon. Me versus a liter of beer… (John had to help me finish the beer.)
We shared the spinach and artichoke dip ($12). This is very similar to a creamy spinach dip that I used to make. Spinach and cheese is always a good combination.
No burritos here, but we also shared the nachos ($12). Colorful tortilla chips topped with guacamole, sour cream, salsa, and jalapenos. Happy Sunday snacking!

atI also found out that I had a vitamin D deficit. Quite embarrassing as I do not have a winter to blame, I’m just not good enough at getting out in the sun (and the heat) :)
Nothing better than an ice cold (1L!!) beer and nachos:)

atAnd I imagine right now is not the time for you to be outdoors in the sun and heat! Unless you have lots of sunscreen and an ice cold beer with you. :D

atHaha, yes! It’s probably for the best that I did not finish it all by myself!
