Instead of hitting the Black Friday sales, we opted for a relaxing day that started with brunch at Cafe Bellagio. The service was great, and I’m always a fan of good food that’s under $20, especially in a place like Vegas.
John got in touch with his Wisconsin roots with Leinenkugel’s Sunset Wheat. My Domaine Ste Michelle Brut was topped with a large, juicy strawberry. Tracy and Michelle ordered a carafe of white sangria to share. Why must it always be so hard to get the fruit out of the carafe? Don’t want to waste any!
John usually gets Mexican brunch entree. He got the Chilaquiles ($18), which included 3 eggs, corn tortilla chips, salsa, pinto beans, and queso fresco. It was very filling.
I ordered the Maryland Crab Cake Benedict ($18), which came with hash browns on the side. Crab cakes are my favorite special occasion seafood treats, and I’m so glad I decided to get this. Easily the best crab cakes I’ve had all year!
Felicia got the classic Eggs Benedict ($16). She mentioned that it was okay.
Tracy ordered one of the breakfast/brunch specials. I believe it was some kind of seafood pot pie with a side salad.

atLovely ladies, yummy food. Being a macrobiotic/vegan for more than 5 years now, the only thing I occasionally miss are eggs…

atThanks! Eggs are definitely one of my favorite non-vegan foods, especially when they’re poached.
