Vegetarian Snacks for Super Bowl Sunday

Vegetarian Super Bowl Snacks

We’re not really into sports, but watching the Super Bowl can be pretty fun. For us, it’s really all about the food! We make a big vegetarian feast every year, and I think we overdid ourselves for Super Bowl XLIX with these four simple, but tasty snacks. I’m still a little under the weather, but these were easy enough to whip up on a lazy Sunday afternoon.

With some help from our vegetable slicer, we made a batch of very addictive baked sweet potato chips. Seasoning the chips with cinnamon was a good call! My favorite spinach dip  always makes an appearance on game day, and we also tried this cucumber hummus recipe. Adding half a cucumber to the chickpea mixture for a lighter, airier hummus… genius! Gardein’s meatless wings were a nice, tangy treat, but they’re not very photogenic, are they? We briefly considered not including them in the photo.

What did you snack on while watching the Super Bowl, or should I say Superb Owl?

Ha ha ha..Superb Owls! I feel the same way about sports. I would never watch a game by my self, but together with friends and good food, it can be fun. Sorry, but I thought the meatless wings were eclairs *lol*

Agreed! Sports should be enjoyed with friends, food, and booze! ;) Hahahah, they do look like eclairs, don’t they? This is what happens when I let John plate things. :P
