Hello Spring + JORD Watch Giveaway

JORD Wood Watch, Denim & Leather

This post is in collaboration with JORD.

I’m sure I’m not alone when I say I’m sick of winter. It has been an especially bad one here in Portland, and spring couldn’t come soon enough. Even though the first day spring is still weeks away,  we’ve enjoyed random bursts of sunny, warm days here and there. What did I do on those days? I threw on a cute outfit and visited a couple floral shops in my neighborhood. Nothing says spring like some fresh flowers!

Denim and vegan leather is one of my favorite combos, and I love adding a feminine touch with heels and rings. My newest accessory, the Frankie in dark sandalwood and smoke from JORD wood watches, fits right with this look too. Let’s face it, we all rely heavily on our cellphones to tell the time, but isn’t it refreshing to see a classic watch? I love a good statement bracelet, and my JORD watch doubles up as that too. I’ve partnered with JORD to bring you a special giveaway so don’t miss those details below.

Work/Shop PDX, Portland

First stop, a visit to the oh so charming work/shop! Long before I moved to Portland, I discovered work/shop on Instagram and swooned over every detail of their shop. It’s packed with fresh plants, cute gifts, and locally made trinkets. I’ve even learned how to make my own bath bombs at work/shop. Every time I visit, I feel like I’m playing tourist snapping photos of every little thing in the store.

Another neighborhood spot that’s always a treat to visit is Sammy’s Flowers. I have yet to visit their main shop on Burnside, but even the smaller location has plenty to admire. All year round, Sammy’s got a colorful display of florals out front. The unique, natural look of my JORD wood watch fits right in among these flowers. Don’t you think?

Inspired by all the spring blooms, I blended a pretty pink smoothie bowl for lunch. I make smoothie bowls regularly, and I’ve learned that the most photogenic bowls are ones where I just quickly toss on the toppings without overthinking it. It creates a more natural, organic look. This comes close to springtime in a bowl, right?
