
Waz Wu is a content creator and event producer in Portland, Oregon.
As the founder of Veganizer PDX, Waz specializes in bringing collaborative dining experiences to life. Her visionary events celebrate plant-based cuisine, while uplifting local chefs and fostering community. In 2024, Waz launched Portland’s premier vegan food and drink festival Circle V Portland, which has been featured in numerous vegan and mainstream food media.
Waz’s creative work in the food and beverage industries also includes graphic design, marketing, content creation, social media strategy, food writing, recipe development, and photography. You can find her writing in Eater Portland and Travel Oregon.
Originally from Singapore, Waz moved to Pittsburgh to study architecture and communication design at Carnegie Mellon University. After graduating, she pursued graphic design and advertising at boutique creative agencies in the Bay Area. During her time as the lead designer at Intwine Marketing, Waz fell in love with the food and beverage world.
While living in New York City, she launched her food blog to document the city’s vibrant culinary landscape. Waz moved to Portland shortly after going vegan.
