Even with a reservation, we had to wait quite a while for a table on a Friday evening. Popular spot. and there were several other groups there for birthday dinners too.<\/p>\n<p>It goes without saying that you have to try the congee here. There was every possible type of congee you could imagine, including a snail and frog congee that disturbed John. We shared the Healthy Vegetarian Congee ($3.95), but I easily could have finished it all by myself. Growing up, I ate a lot of congee, and man, I&#8217;ve really missed this stuff! The congee was good on its own, but even better with tofu topped with scallions. Now that fall has arrived, I&#8217;m planning on making veggie congee at home.
