Something about turning 30 soon has made me put more effort into reconnecting with friends and reaching out to fun people I wish I had gotten to know better.<\/p>\n<p>That&#8217;s how this dinner date with Rachel happened. We met through friends years ago, and after all this time liking each other&#8217;s food photos, we finally got together to eat! They&#8217;re quite dense and filling, and I ended up taking a couple balls home to share with John. At first, he was worried the balls would be too mushroomy, but he happily gobbled it up. The risotto was nice, especially with the mushroom gravy. As much as I liked the fried egg, a poached egg would have been better.
