It seems like a natural combination, but I\u2019m surprised there aren\u2019t more ramen-ya like this one. I\u2019m sure that some ramen snobs will say it\u2019s not authentic, but I found it to be extremely tasty. I\u2019ll have to try some of the appetizers on my next visit. The mushroom tempura, vegetarian dumplings, and disco fries topped with kimchi both sound very tempting. So many options!<\/p>\n<p>Angela ordered the Black Bean Ramen ($12). Soupless ramen topped with a thick black bean sauce , braised pork, cucumber, pickled daikon, and scallion. Perfectly al dente noodles in a kombu shiitake doenjang broth topped with tofu, vegetables, crispy potatoes, and scallion. Hands down the best vegetarian ramen I\u2019ve had in NYC\u2026 oh wait, it\u2019s actually vegan! You would not guess that this is vegan based on how complex that broth is. So delicious. I like Chelsea Market, but man, that place just keeps getting more and more touristy over time. I\u2019ll have to suck it up and dodge people if I want more yumminess from Mok Bar.
