\"MyWhen you throw the word “vegan” out there, food is the first thing that comes to mind. It makes sense as the average person’s first encounter with veganism was most likely when someone declined to eat something, but there’s more to it than that. Beyond food, there are other aspects of our lives to be mindful of, like skin care and fashion. Since I recently got back from a trip<\/a>, I thought this would be the perfect time to share my vegan travel kit.<\/p>\n

Whenever I travel, it’s a challenge to find the right balance between packing light and packing everything I need to look and feel good. You wanna look extra cute when you’re on vacation, right? After some trial and error, I’ve assembled a few skin care and beauty essentials that always make it into my luggage even if I’m not checking a bag. They’re all vegan (free of animal products) and cruelty-free (not tested on animals), which are two separate things even though they tend to get lumped together, but that’s another post for another time.<\/p>\n

My Vegan + Cruelty-Free Skin Care Travel Kit<\/h3>\n

Here are my vegan travel essentials that I pack into my Angela Roi makeup bag, which is waterproof and easy to clean thanks to the animal-friendly leather.<\/p>\n

The Body Shop – Seaweed Deep Cleansing Gel Wash<\/strong>
\nEffective and refreshing. It does a great job at removing makeup too. (And yes, I’m well aware that The Body Shop is owned by L’Oreal, but that’s also another post for another time.)<\/p>\n

Pixi Beauty – Glow Tonic<\/strong>
\nNot to be dramatic, but this toner is life changing. It’s part of my daily routine, and I won’t take a trip without a little bottle in my travel kit.<\/p>\n

Tarte – Maracuja Oil<\/strong>
\nAnother product I’d describe as life changing as this oil got me through harsh East Coast winters. Super hydrating, and 1-2 drops will go a long way. I only use it at night. When I’m at home, I’ll use this oil after a good exfoliation to wake up the next day with super smooth and radiant skin.<\/p>\n

Lush – Imperialis<\/strong>
\nThe name of this moisturizer sounds like a spell that Harry Potter would use, right? I’d say it’s pretty magical and happens to be one of the more budget-friendly moisturizers at Lush.<\/p>\n

100% Pure – Fruit Pigmented Tinted Moisturizer + Bamboo Blur Powder<\/strong>
\nEven though moisturizer is in the name, it’s really a natural looking foundation. Goes on real smooth even when applied with your fingers. A sales associate once described the Bamboo Blur Powder is a real life Instagram filter. She was right — it’s amazing!<\/p>\n

Pacifica Beauty – Facial Masks<\/strong>
\nAfter spending the day at airports or out and about exploring, I love treating myself to a sheet mask before tucking in for the night. The Stress Rehab and Disobey Time are my two favorites from Pacifica.<\/p>\n
