Sorry if I ignored your emails over the past week, I was wrapped up in the frenzy that is Feast Portland<\/a>! Oh, Feast, how do I even begin to describe you? The entire experience is best summed up as a multi day mosh pit of eating, drinking, and partying with the who’s who of the food industry in Portland and beyond. This was my first year at Feast, and I was lucky enough to experience it with all the perks of a blogger pass thanks to the team at Little Green Pickle.<\/p>\n

Now that I’ve made it through my 160 unread emails (phew!), I’ve got photos to sort through and messy napkin scribbles to decipher before I can share an inside look at the Feast Portland Grand Tasting<\/a>, Brunch Village<\/a>, and Drink Tanks<\/a> with you. Thursday, September 14: Hospitality Lounge<\/h4>\n

I timed my haircut just right so I could be all “New hair, who dis?” as I rolled up for Happy Hour at the Feast Hospitality Lounge in the Sentinel Hotel. I missed Wednesday night’s opening party as I was busy at a tasting and photo shoot elsewhere, but the Happy Hour was the perfect kickoff event.<\/p>\n

Friday, September 15: Media Breakfast, Kombucha Class, Grand Tasting<\/h4>\n

I’m not a morning person, but I woke up bright and early for the media breakfast in time to hear Feast co-founder Carrie Welch speak about #whywefeast<\/a>. After a light breakfast and a cocktail (or two), it was time for kombucha class with Health-ade Kombucha’s Daina Trout. Not long after that, I found myself in the middle of it all at the Grand Tasting in Pioneer Courthouse Square, eating and drinking with my fellow food bloggers.<\/p>\n

Friday, September 15: After Party<\/h4>\n

Yes, I went home and took a nap in the middle of the day. It was the best decision I made all weekend long. Wine, beer, negronis, gin & tonics, they sure know how to throw a party at Jackrabbit! And to top it all off, Chris Cosentino, the chef\/owner of Jackrabbit, was shooting Saxx Underwear at the crowd all night long. Ready, aim, fire!<\/p>\n

Saturday, September 16: Drink Tanks, Grand Tasting<\/h4>\n

On Saturdays, we drink pink wine! My day started with the Rose All Day. Everyday. Drink Tank panel where we were graced with beautiful Rose drinking weather. I later stopped back at the Grand Tasting to sample the vegan bites I missed on Friday, before returning to Director Park for the American Single Malt Whisky Drink Tank. Smell, sip, savor, repeat!<\/p>\n

Saturday, September 16: After Party<\/h4>\n

I crashed at the Hospitality Lounge to recharge myself and my iPhone before disappearing for a few hours to judge a vegan mac & cheese contest<\/a>. This was the weekend of so many events in Portland. After that, it was time to partay at Bollywood Theater! What’s with the long line out the door? Are we in New York City? Nope, just another Feast after party!<\/p>\n

Sunday, September 17: Brunch Village<\/h4>\n

Made it to Sunday, time for brunch! Portland takes brunch very seriously, so it’s no surprise that Brunch Village was completely packed. 8 minutes into the event, someone was already going for that Instaworthy overhead shot with a table full of plates. Some Brunch Village highlights include Aria gin slushies, mimosas left and right, a Christina Tosi sighting, and The Waiting Room’s Bloody Mary bar. What a blast!<\/p>\n
