Like every other food blogger in town, I’ll be charging my digital devices and every portable battery I own, but what else am I missing? Since I’m a Feast newbie, I turned to a few local food bloggers for their tips for enjoying Feast…

Pechluck
Tip #1 on Pech’s list is to dress comfortably with easily accessible pockets or bring a tote bag. This is not the time for skinny jeans and heels, but I don’t plan on rolling on over to the event in dumpy sweats either. Note to self: pick a comfy, but cute outfit.

Martha Chartreuse
Meredith suggests the genius bite buddy system so you’ll have an opportunity to try as many dishes as possible. I love that getting a manicure is on her list too. Pretty hands and nails are a must for your Insta pics. ;)

The Happy Little Apron
Last time I brunched with Amanda, she warned me that there’s a lot of alcohol at Feast, so bringing a water bottle is a must. She also recommends Feast as an opportunity to make some new friends. Food brings people together after all!

Maxene’s Trail of Crumbs
Maxene addresses the ultimate food blogger’s dilemma: how do you juggle your iPhone and your camera? And don’t forget to bring a good purse or backpack to hold all your belongings to avoid having too many uncomfortable straps.

The Kitchen Paper
From coming hungry, to respecting your limits, Mary covers all the basics in her first timers list. The Feast itinerary is pretty overwhelming, and every event is bound to be crowded. There’s no shame in skipping some tastings to maintain your sanity.

Last, but not least, remember why we Feast. Over the years, Feast has raised over $300,000 to help end childhood hunger across the country. This year, a portion of Feast’s proceeds will support Partners for a Hunger-Free Oregon. Keep an eye out for more opportunities to get involved!

Note: This post is in collaboration with Feast Portland. I received a blogger pass to the festival.
