Perelandra<\/a> where I marveled at their selection of vegan products that puts Whole Foods to shame. To celebrate 40 years in Brooklyn, Perelandra turned down the lights, pumped up the tunes, and served an amazing spread of organic small bites and cocktails. It’s fantastic to see a mom-and-pop grocery store be successful and thriving for 40 years strong. While DJ Vida was doing her thing at the front of the store, the cafe in the back transformed into a bar serving organic cocktails and local brews. My favorite drink of the night was a sunrise blend of beet, orange, and carrot juices with a touch of vodka. There was no shortage of delicious small bites! From pierogies and stuffed grape leaves, to hummus canapes and sun-popped popcorn, the snacks just kept rolling out of the kitchen.<\/p>\n

Just as we were starting to feel full, platters of ice cream sandwiches (yay, snickerdoodle!) started calling my name. How could I resist a sandwich or two? At the end of the night, everyone went home with a bag of goodies. All of these products can be found at Perelandra, of course, and I’m happily snacking on dark chocolate as I write this post. Thanks Perelandra for a fun night, and congrats on the big 40!<\/p>\n
