\"Brunch<\/p>\n

What’s with the weather lately?! We’re days away from Christmas, and it’s currently 60 degrees! Over the weekend, we took advantage of the warm weather with a long walk and brunch in Hoboken. Plenty of other people had the same idea, and we barely grabbed the last outdoor table at 1 Republik<\/a>. I’m sure this place turns into bro central at night, but during the daytime, it seemed fine for a quick bite. There were even families with small children brunching here.<\/p>\n

This is your typical sports bar with a bazillion TVs and a different drink special every day of the week. On Saturdays, they do $2 mimosas until 6pm. They’re not the best mimosas in the world, but they’re refreshing and bubbly, and I’ll happily have a few of those at $2 each with brunch. I was quite the mimosa filled happy camper by the time we left.<\/p>\n

The brunch entrees are $10-$12. I got the huevos rancheros ($10), which was pretty good despite the unappetizing color of the salsa. The sunny side eggs were nicely done and tasty with the refried beans and cheese. The bread on the side was rather dry, but worked well for mopping up the runny yolks.<\/p>\n

There are 15 different burger options here, and you can get a turkey patty or veggie patty at no extra charge. John got the Fried Pickle Burger ($10.95) with chipotle mayo, fried pickles, fried onions, and cheddar. Waffle fries are an extra $1. The burger looked pretty legit with melty cheese and a soft bun.
