When John returned from his trips, he brought home airport germs (yuck!!!) that got us both sick. I wanted to make a big meal for Chinese New Year, but just couldn’t make that happen with all the sniffles and coughing. By the weekend, we were mostly back to normal… good enough for a well deserved date night. John picked LITM as our surprise dinner location!LITM, Love is the Message, is a laid back restaurant/bar/art gallery in the heart of Jersey City. What I love about going out in Jersey City, especially the Grove St area, is how everything has a cool, trendy vibe, but it’s not packed like most of NYC. LITM was no different. A casual, but intimate setting for date night or catching up with friends. Plus, there’s art all around so you have conversation starters if necessary. They have Happy Hour deals on weekdays, and Rock and Bubbly Saturdays ($7 for rocks or bubbly cocktails). I enjoyed the Kir Royale, and John also tried the Mango-mosa.
