John received an offer for a new job. Matt and Kelly visited. We found a new apartment in Jersey City and packed everything up in a week! The movers swooped in this morning and loaded all our furniture and boxes into a truck in 2.5 hours. They’re currently on their way to the new place. I’m just hanging out here until John comes back to pick me and the cats up. I’m really going to miss the Hamilton Heights/Sugar Hill/West Harlem area. Beautiful tree lined streets and the stunning Tenenbaum house just around the corner. Jersey City obviously doesn’t have the same kind of charm, but at least we’ll be closer to the central/downtown areas of Manhattan and all of Brooklyn. It’s going to be interesting going from a 3 bedroom apartment to a 1 bedroom apartment. It’s a spacious 1 bedroom with lots of (awkwardly-shaped) closet space; I think we should be quite comfortable. Oh, and the kitchen is quite gorgeous and has a huge pantry/storage space adjacent to it!
