Tracy and Kevin Erf joined us for a big day out and about in NYC. We started with brunch at Don Pedro’s, wandered through MOMA, had an early dinner at Klong Restaurant, and went to Pianos for drinks. Brunch at Don Pedro’s How can you say no to a $20 3-course brunch with unlimited sangria? I tried the Cuban black bean soup, which I regretted ordering as soon as it arrived at the table. Nothing special there, just black bean soup. The Chuleta a la Jardinera was a completely different story. Grilled pork chop over rice and pigeon peas topped with a garden vegetable sauce. Delicious. Too much food for me. The big bowl of rice was really unnecessary. The coconut tres leche hit the spot once again. An Afternoon at the MOMA I’ve always loved museums. I even got married in one! To be honest, experiencing museum architecture is often more appealing to me than the actual exhibits. Museums, galleries and exhibit spaces were always my favorite spaces to design when I was in architecture school. There’s something refreshing about those spaces.
