reusable bags poster    22" x 28" poster for Giant Eagle grocery chain

Local grocery chain, Giant Eagle, asked the Spring 2008 Design and Social Change class to design 22” by 28” posters to promote the use of reusable bags. I chose to express that reusable bags are not only environmentally responsible and practical, but also fun, fashionable accessories suitable for anyone. Even Sparky the Dog enjoys using his reusable bag for his groceries (and doggy treats).

My design was 1 of 16 posters chosen from 59 for display at Giant Eagle stores in Maryland, Pennsylvania, Ohio, and West Virginia. Giant Eagle has been displaying the posters in stores as part of its plans to help reduce use of disposable plastic bags and to increase the number of shoppers who bring reusable bags.

My poster was also included in a news article on the Carnegie Mellon School of Design website.
